Who can get Yahoo Web Analytics

We were really, really impressed by Index Tools and were starting to recommend it to clients using multiple SEM platforms (pay-per-click) or advertising venues, when it was bought out by Yahoo and disappeared. Now Index Tools is getting closer to broad release as Yahoo Web Analytics. I'm interested in seeing what Yahoo has done with the product, but we are not Yahoo partners. If you have a Yahoo Store and want a free analyst's assessment of your web traffic and online advertising, drop me a note!

Here's the update on who has access to Yahoo Analytics, posted yesterday (3/13) on the Web Analyics email list:

Honestly, we haven't been too clear about when, where and how you get access to Yahoo! Web Analytics. That's just poor communication. So let me try to shed some light on the matter. We are signing up new accounts every single day - and for that I am personally super excited. BUT it is unfortunately not open to everybody. Sorry!

But to answer the question "how can I gain access?":

  • Yahoo Web Analytics is already available to Yahoo! Store customers
  • Yahoo Web Analytics is already available to Yahoo! Custom Microsites & Yahoo! Buzz Marketing customers
  • Yahoo Web Analytics is already available to the Yahoo Developer Network (YOS)
  • Yahoo Web Analytics is rolling out in Japan as we speak (limited to a given set of customers)
  • Yahoo Web Analytics is still letting partners sign up new accounts (on a limited basis though, but that will change)
  • I am also happy to say, Yahoo Web Analytics is opening up to bigger Yahoo Search Marketing (YSM) advertisers shortly.

AND if everything else fails you turn up at the Y! booth at SES in New York in two weeks with a Louis XIII cognac ;-)

Cheers
d.
