Avery Cohen has held leadership positions in information technology and Business Intelligence for 20+ years. During that time, he helped organizations collect, design, manage, develop and interpret their business systems. He worked in a wide variety of industries, and with clients that include Fortune 500 business managers, marketing executives and entrepreneurs. His experience includes supporting and developing a state-of-the-art planning and forecasting system for an international business, managing information technology and introducing new technologies for Fortune 100 companies, and managing consultants on a wide range of business intelligence platforms.
Avery founded Metrist Partners over 6 years ago in response to his clients’ growing Internet marketing needs. Since founding Metrist Partners, Avery has helped business owners, marketing executives, and web site designers increase sales by providing insights into their on-line customer behaviors, and turning those insights into meaningful changes on their web sites. Avery is active in the Web Analytics Association, for whom he hosts the Chicago Chapter’s Web Analytics Wednesdays.
Ken Novak, a founding Principal of Metrist Partners, has been helping retail, publishing, and service businesses market more effectively for more than 20 years. Trained in the MBA and Ph.D programs of the University of Chicago, and then in real-world direct marketing at Montgomery Ward, Cogit, and Experian, Ken applies quantitative analysis and vivid reporting that complement the creative and operational efforts of his clients. His role: identify both underperformance and opportunity, and then work with clients to respond effectively to both. Recent clients include Crain Communications, Putman Publishing and Clear Channel.
